George Semple & Company was established in 1983, when George Semple left one of the large national brokers to form the company as sole proprietor. His aim was to place greater emphasis on customer service; a key area that George felt was being neglected by many other brokers.

Aileen, George's daughter, joined in 1987 with 11 years of experience in the insurance sector already behind her. Two years later the business became a limited company.

We purchased our current office at 60 Westbourne Crescent in Bearsden in 2000, and in 2007 became a member of the Broker Network. This marked a significant development for the company as it delivered access to new markets, provided increased business capabilities and secured the backing of a large network organisation for the company.
